Other alternatives are using a shotgun, flamethrower, thermo-nuclear
devices, etc. :)

Seriously - have you tried sticky traps? I've had mice before, and the best
way to get rid of them is a cat. If you don't want a cat, an alternative
might be sticky traps. They worked for me almost as good as the cat.
